My Yoga Practice

UY108 the Future of YOGA!

My mother left my brother and I about 10 years ago to be cared for by her mom. We never heard anything from her except the big details (remarried, new kid, etc) and during that time I lost respect for her. Nowadays she'll send both of us Facebook messages saying how she misses us and wants to see us and all that - the first few I replied to but now I ignore them. So, should I forgive her and start trying to have a relationship again, or should keep moving on with my life without her?

I read a quote last week that said, “forgiveness means never putting that person out of your heart.” I don’t think it means you have to allow yourself to be hurt or taken advantage of. Listen to your heart.
